Although painting has been Diane's interest since childhood, she has only in recent year pursued it in earnest. Through her time spend along Maine's coastal and inland water and in more subtle outdoor settings as an avid gardner, she has always been drawn to Maine's natural beauty.

She strives to capture moments in time, a lady slipper on the woodland floor, a flower garden in ful bloom, and the breathtaking reflection of the fading sun on the water and sky. She paints to convey the stunning beauty we all see in Maine's dramatic landscapes and in the stillness of the smallest petals.
