Diane Carbone

About Diane Carbone:
Diane Carbone was born and raised in Denver Colorado and has lived in Maine with her husband and 3 daughters since 1982. She has spent most of those years living in Portland and summering on Damariscotta Lake in Jefferson, Maine. Although painting has been an interest since childhood, she has only in recent years been free to pursue it in earnest. Through her time spent along Maine's coastal and inland waters and in more subtle outdoor settings as an avid gardener, she has always been drawn to Maine's natural beauty. She strives to capture moments in time, a lady slipper on the woodland floor, a flower garden in full bloom, and the breathtaking reflection of the fading sun on the water and sky. She paints to convey the stunning beauty we all see in Maine's dramatic landscapes and in the stillness of the smallest petals.
